Excited to announce new Shingles Awareness events!

A few weeks ago, my friend invited us to perform excerpts from My Beautiful Darkened World in her living room, for about 20 of her friends in their 50s, 60s and 70s. After the performance, we had a discussion about shingles awareness.  I mainly wanted people to know how to recognize the symptoms so they can get treatment early when it's most effective, and to know about the vaccines available.  The event was a big success and a number of people said how much they liked the songs.  What really warmed my heart was that 4 or 5 people said they would definitely get the shingles vaccine!!  I was very happy about that.

So now we are scheduling more Shingles Awareness events in the community--a 20-minute excerpt of the show, followed by a question-and-answer session about shingles. We are located in the DC-VA-MD area, but we travel a lot so we might be able to come to your community. Please get in touch if you would like to help us raise shingles awareness!!
